The size of your pan will determine the cooking time. This size pan took about 40 minutes to cook. You will know when the casserole is done by sticking a knife in the center of the mixture. If the knife comes out clean, then the center of the casserole is completely cooked. If I would have used a larger casserole dish, I probably would only have to cook this casserole for about 30 to 35 minutes. Just keep the cooking time in mind when you choose the size of your dish. This recipe is perfect for a large group of people.

Do I need to just pour on the egg mixture to get that affect? It was really good and the whole family loved it, I personally was just hoping to get the same dish as your pictures. Yes, I poured the mixture over the top the first time I made this recipe. You can make it either way and both taste great! Comments Made this for dinner tonight it was wonderful!

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later. After this arrived I went to the website and had a hard time deciding what to make since they all look good and easy. I made the sausage balls and I can't believe how good they are. There is a slightly different taste than regular mix but it is negligible.
My wife and daughters even enjoyed them and could barely tell the difference. You need to get creative with the flavor.. The best way to make biscuits so that they rise is to use a mixer with a bread hook. Add 2 cups of carbquick, half tsp baking powder, 1 tablespoon melted butter, and about 1 cup of milk or half heavy cream and half water. If it's too dry when mixing add a little more. It will look and feel like dough you don't want it to feel sticky and it shouldn't stick to your hands much.
If it is sticky add a little more carbquick. Roll it out after you mix it for about minutes or when it looks and feels like dough. Then cut with a biscuit cutter and bake for 8ish minutes or till they look done.. Sometimes I add a little melted butter on top before baking them. Or add a little garlic powder to the mix. It took lots of tweaking and practice to get the recipe right!! We love this product. It takes some getting used to, and I got a lot of my tips from other reviews which I really appreciate.
For hungry low-carb dieters and diabetics that want bread goods and want them NOW, this stuff is a god-send. We've made biscuits, waffles, and pancakes and we've been very happy with the results. For those of you that don't like cottage cheese, just trust me on this one. There isn't a cheese flavor or anything like that. You'd never know it was in there, and it really makes them feel more like "regular" pancakes.
Absolutely love this flour. My husband and I are living a low carb lifestyle and this just makes it so easy for us to stay on track.
In the last two weeks, I have made a turkey pot pie, a pizza crust, breaded deep fried perch, cheese biscuits, sausage biscuits and gravy, and buttermilk biscuits, and we loved everything we have made with it.
Awesome that we can stick to our low carb diets and still treat ourselves. This stuff is awesome. The box is full of inspiring recipes on the back AND both insides. My Keto friends kept telling me eventually I'd break down and try those egg substitute biscuits but I know it was never going to taste or feel like a wheat product.
LOL, after 10 days with none at all it tasted pretty darn perfect to me! All the recipes run between net carbs and are a decent size If only we could all get together and force these guys to do the same for pasta! One person found this helpful. A delicious and healthy alternative to Bisquick.
I use this mostly for making high fiber, low carb pizza. For anyone on a low carb diet desperate for pizza, this is perfect to curb the craving. I usually make a double batch of the pizza crust recipe listed on the back, which makes approximately a 16" pizza. This crust is more filling that normal pizza crust, so note that you'll have leftovers if cooking for one.
I recommend that you really stretch the dough thin as it does rise a good bit. I par-bake the crust at the temperature listed for about 5 minutes, then I add the sauce. I found this works better than adding sauce from the beginning as to avoid a soggy crust.
Sometimes I'll add butter to the crust at the 5 minute point, which soaks in and compliments the biscuit-y crust nicely. I've had zero GI issues using this product, which is rare for low carb substitutes.
